Application Workflow
From landing page to funded deal — the full applicant journey.
The end-to-end journey
Below is the exact path an applicant travels from first click to funded loan. Understanding this journey helps lenders see where their program plugs in and why the files that reach them are already pre-qualified.
Step 1 — Landing and application intake
The applicant lands on WeFinanceTrailers.com from search, ads, or a partner referral. They enter the multi-step application, which captures purchase purpose (business vs personal), personal information, business information (if applicable), trailer information (type, price, dealer vs private seller), and a self-reported credit tier. Intake typically completes in three to five minutes.
Step 2 — Segment classification and routing
The completed application is classified into a segment (Prime Business, Startup Business, Consumer, Subprime, Private Party) and scored against every active lender program in the panel. Only lenders whose credit box fits the file receive the application.
Step 3 — Document collection
In parallel with routing, the applicant is sent a secure token-based upload portal link by SMS and email. They upload IDs, bank statements, and any other required documents. The portal tracks completeness, prompts for missing items, and notifies our team when the packet is done.
Step 4 — Lender delivery
Once documents are complete (or, in some programs, in parallel with document collection), the file is delivered to the matched lender(s) as a full applicant PDF and structured data — via email or portal, depending on the lender's preference.
Step 5 — Lender decision
The lender decisions the file on its normal timeline. Approvals, conditional approvals, and declines are reported back so we can track fund-through by segment. If a file is declined, we may route it to a secondary program that fits (e.g. subprime after prime declines).
Step 6 — Closing and funding
The lender closes on its own docs and rails — DocuSign, ACH/wire, title work, and lien perfection. We stay engaged through closing to unblock the borrower or dealer on any missing information.
Step 7 — Funded-deal reporting and reconciliation
Funded deals are reported back monthly. Per-funded-deal compensation is reconciled and paid on the agreed cadence. Partnerships reviews performance every 30–60 days to tune routing and credit-box parameters for the next period.
